Per la mostra September 11 il curatore del MoMA PS1 Peter Eleey ha raccolto più di 70 opere di 41 artisti – molte delle quali realizzate prima del tragico 11 settembre 2001 – che esplorano la violenza e la risonanza che gli attacchi alle Torri Gemelle a dieci anni dall’evento hanno avuto nella realtà dell’arte contemporanea. Lontane dalla pura rappresentazione dell’evento, le opere in mostra offrono una base, uno spunto di riflessione sugli attacchi a New York e su come sia cambiato il modo di percepire il mondo da quell’11 Settembre. Inaugurata nel giorno del decimo anniversario degli attacchi, la mostra si conclude il 9 Gennaio 2012.
